Boat Detailer / PolisherCrew for Oceanix Yacht Care, Tauranga
Casual / Part-Time Work Available Now
Oceanix Yacht Care are looking for a boat washdown/detailer/polisher to help out with work leading up to Christmas, with ongoing opportunities for the right person starting again in 2026.
This Role is Ideal for: Marine or superyacht crew between seasons, or looking for a couple of days/weeks/months work between offshore jobs, or whilst you are home for the holidays. Or even better, someone with hands-on detailing/polishing experience looking for a long-term career in this industry.
About the Company:
Oceanix offers a premium boat care service, providing intensive detailing and valet services for yachts, powerboats, trailer boats, and high-end vehicles. Our work is fully mobile, and we operate across Tauranga Bridge Marina, Sulphur Point Marina, Tauranga Drystack, and on-site at various client locations. If you enjoy physical work, being outdoors, and taking pride in perfect results, this could be the job for you.
About the Role:
- Washing and detailing boats
- Machine polishing, buffing, cut and polish
- Waxing and applying surface protection
- Stainless steel, teak, and interior cleaning
- Oxidisation removal
- Engine room cleans
- Window treatments
- Applying ceramic protective coatings
- Supporting the Oceanix team with a range of mobile valet services
We’re Looking For:
- Experience in boat washing, polishing or detailing
- Someone physically capable, reliable and comfortable using tools
- A good eye for detail and pride in finishing work to a high standard
- Flexibility to work casual hours
- NZ Citizen/Resident or valid Work Visa
- Driver’s licence preferred
- Based in Tauranga with reliable transport to get to work
- Flexible, casual ongoing work
