Hiko Electrical and Hiko Air are seeking a skilled HVAC Electrician with general electrical expertise to join our growing Papamoa-based team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-respected, locally owned Master Electrician and HVAC specialist with an awesome team culture and a pipeline of exciting projects across Tauranga and the wider Bay of Plenty.
 
About the Role: This position focuses on the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems. From electrical components and advanced controls to system upgrades and compliance, you'll ensure homes and businesses stay cool, efficient, and safe. No two days are the same, and you'll have the chance to work on a variety of interesting projects, from new installations to high-end system servicing.
 
We are looking for someone who can handle 60-70% of HVAC work, assist with general electrical work, and occasionally support the solar team.
 
What We're Looking For

• EWRB Registered Electrician with current practising licence (or close to completing Apprenticeship)
• Experience in HVAC installations, repair, and maintenance
• Trade certifications in Electrical and HVAC are an advantage
• Knowledge of health & safety, compliance, and commissioning requirements
• A problem-solver with strong technical and diagnostic skills
• Full NZ driver's licence (manual + auto)
• Great attitude, customer service focus, and willingness to learn and grow
