About Steve Jenkins – Managing Director

With over 35 years of experience in the construction industry, Steve brings a unique perspective that blends craftsmanship, practical buildability, and design innovation. From early roots in timber joinery and kitchen design to national leadership roles in New Zealand’s residential construction industry, Steve has worked at every level of the process.

Career Highlights:

• Lead Designer at Holah Homes, combining creativity with practical, builder-focused detailing

• Design Manager at G.J. Gardner Hamilton, overseeing design and consent for 160+ homes per year

• National Design Manager at G.J. Gardner Homes NZ, leading initiatives in risk management, waterproofing standards, and digital design tools

• Collaborate with industry bodies such as the Tile Association of New Zealand to improve internal waterproofing outcomes

• Advocate for thermal efficiency and better-performing homes through nationwide education and training programs
